Drop the Hammer Weekend | Bike Indy Oregon

There will be two road and two mixed terrain/gravel routes.  Distance options are “delight” and “grande“.  Each road route will cross the exact same Strava segment.  Each mixed terrain/gravel route will cross the exact same Strava segment.  Drop the hammer on the Strava segments and see how you stack up!  The start and ends of each segment will be marked.  For the rest of the ride, cruise away at whatever speed you’d like.  Maybe pack a sandwich for the halfway spot. Does your family like to bike?  We will also feature a family/kid-friendly 3-mile route on our off-street paved, multiuse path along the scenic Willamette River.  We will have crossing guards at one intersection.  This is a great event for the entire family.  Help us hook the next generation of cyclists!

All participants will be entered into a prize drawing, and we will award prizes to the top male and female for each segment at the end of the weekend.  4 winners total.  You don’t need to be a hammerhead to walk away with some glory.  Previous prizes and raffle items included 6 hotel stays from one of the most bike-friendly hotels in the country, The Independence Hotel.  The Tap Station, Parallel 45, and other area business have also be provided prizes and raffle items. BONUS PRIZES will go to the owner of the heaviest bike (a scale will be at the check-in tent, sorry that means no heavy aluminum water bottles) and the one who gets the most love on the socials with a public post using #BikeIndyOregon and tagging @BikeIndyOregon
